SEHO LEE studied piano (BMus, summa cum laude) at the Chugye University for the Arts and Opera coaching (Artistic Diploma, summa cum laude) at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul. For his outstanding academic performance, he was awarded full scholarships for both courses and received the President’s Prize and Creativity Awards.

In 2007 he joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Keyboard and Collaborative Piano department to study for his Masters in Piano accompaniment (with Distinction) and then completed the repetiteur Postgraduate Diploma in 2009-2010. Both Courses were supported by a full scholarship, piano accompaniment fellowship and Repetiteurship. He has participated in mastercalsses with Malcolm Martineau, Julius Drake, Roger Vignoles, Anna Larsson, Roy Howat, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Dame Felicity Palmer, Mark Silvermann, Thomas Mastroianni, Konstantin Bogino, Jania Aubakirova, John Fisher and Håkan Hagegård among others.

During his time at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland he won numerous competitions including first prize at the 2008 piano accompaniment awards, 2011 Frank-Spedding Lieder Prize, Hester Dickson Prize for Piano Accompaniment, Peter Lindsay Miller Prize for Piano Duo as well as top prizes at the Seoul Youth Competition, Korea and First Prize at Osaka International Competition for Piano Duo, Busan Shinsegi Orchestra Music Competition, Korean Newcomer’s Music Competition, Se-Jong Music festival, Special Prize at Korean Philharmonic Orchestra Competition and so on.

Concerto Performances include Seoul National Symphony Orchestra, Korea Air Force Band, Chugye University for the Arts Orchestra, Busan Sinsegi Orchestra, Electon Ensemble, Jeju Hanla wind Ensemble among others.

He is currently graduated Piano for Dance on the Mmus programme at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Full Scholarship and Fellowship) and worked at Scottish Ballet and RCS Modern Ballet School. He has taken part in the Edinburgh International and Fringe Festivals, Oxford Lieder Festival, British Youth Opera Workshop, Aberdeen International Youth Festival (UK), Seoul Music Creation Festival, The Pan Music Festival, Yae-Eum Music Festival, Eum-Youn Piano Music Summer Festival, Chugye University of the Arts Piano Workshop (Korea), Music Festival at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler and Universität der Künste (Berlin, Germany), Summer Music Festival at Badia di Cava (Italy), North Sea Vocal Academy 2010-12 (Denmark). Also Seho performed at St James’ Palace in London and Neuadd Dora Stoutzker Hall, in the presence of the British Royal Family, representing The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and The Royal Welsh College Music and Drama.

Seho was a finalist of audition for the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House in London this February. He took a temporary accompanist’s role(Coppelia by Delibes) at the Royal Birmingham Ballet and English National Ballet (Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky) 2012.

Seho won 2012 The Delius Prize and performed The Prizewinner Recital in Steinway Hall, London.

Seho is a Master’s student (Steinway Piano Scholarship) and Junior Fellow Pianist at Royal Welsh College Music and Drama.
